This is so true, if more people thought like this the earth wouldn't be in the mess it is in now.I will copy this one and send on to others.

Hello Vickie, I to think that people should be more like this. Reality is that there are so few. I am looking for people who share this belief and am trying to get everyone on the same page. Our power is in the nubers. Our task is to unite them.

The Ten Commandments
(King James Version)
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet.

I think there is one more. Thou shalt recognize that all living things are interconnected and interdependent. In other words, baby, ONLY THE TRIBE SURVIVES!

It is all that simple! If we all lived by these rules. how wonderful life would be.
So beautiful.

When you talk about depleating the earth and eradicating her resources, you mock God. And #3 is truely mocking our creator.
Genesis 1:26
God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
That is not to say man should not be a good steward of the earth.
For "let not him that wavereth, expect anything of the Law" says Paul. As long as we limit and fear to use the symbol of wealth, how can the real substance flow? For just as surely as we pinch and hold the symbol, just so surely do we hold the flow of the unseen (though not invisible) supply, which explains the saying that "without faith it is impossible to please God," because Good cannot flow as supply when we ourselves are holding it back with a taut rein. Let us cease insulting our Good by hugging our rags and tatters of doubt and fear so closely about us, and begin to act and live as becomes our royal estate. We have no respect for the miser who clothes himself in rags and lives on a crust.
Thursday March 15, 2007, 11:23 am
If people would think in this manner everyday; maybe we would have a better environment for all living species to live in. Thank you...it is truly wonderful

Hey Vicky,
I couldn't agree more with the 10 Commandments, if only more people thought likejus/this the world wouldn't be in the state its in now:)
Keep up the good work, if enough of us chip away at the bad enough good will eventually shine through!

There's a new book from Penguin Books called "The Whale Warriors," and it's definitely worth checking out. It's written by Peter Heller and is about a vegan crew that goes out to stop Japanese whalers in Antarctica. Here's what one review said.
"In this stirring account, Heller describes his two-month journey aboard the Sea Shepherd's 180-foot converted trawler, Farley Mowat, and its running battle against a fleet of Japanese whalers. Capt. Paul Watson and his mostly vegan 43-member crew aren't the shy retiring types. They fly the Jolly Roger from the ship's mast, brew their own moonshine to celebrate New Year's Eve in an Antarctic blizzard and exclude no strategy in their quest to save whales from slaughter by the persistent Japanese. Measures include everything from trying to entangle the whale ship's propellers with steel cables to tossing foul stink bombs onboard to sicken crews.
The Farley Mowat also comes equipped with a steel-reinforced bow, used for ramming the much larger Japanese whalers head-on. Watson, one of the founders of Greenpeace, tired of watching endangered whales die while the organization merely unfurled protest banners. Considered a 'lunatic' and and 'eco-terrorist' by his enemies, (and possibly by some who'll read this book), placed on the piracy 'watch list' by the US Office of Naval Intelligence, his full-frontal assaults against both whaling and seal hunting have made him revered by his supporters and crew.
Watson justifies his radical measures by pointing out that although commercial whaling has been officially banned by the UN Charter, the Japanese continue to ruthlessly kill hundreds of whales each year under the guise of 'scientific research.' In fact, Heller argues, the whales are merely slaughtered for Japan's fish markets, a crime made even more senseless by the fact that polls indicate the Japanese consumer doesn't even like whale meat. In fact, the Japanese whaling industry loses money every year. Still, the Japanese whalers persist, refusing to back down in the face of mounting international pressure.
A convincing, passionate account that both educated and infuriates. "

Now if we could only get mankind, who are driving themselves to an early extinction by what they have done and continue to do to the Earth, to stop being so self-centered and REALLY take a hard lood at this, the world would be a better, happier, more beautiful place fo who knows how many more millinia.

Great intention but I shall edit it into more positive affirmations as the current emphasis is focused upon what we don't want rather than we we do want. (Refer John Kehoe laws of the mind, The Secret, etc

Why couldn't you have been original, instead of using God's format for rules to live by?
God must have had a good idea if He is copied.
#4 give thanks to creatures/plants ?
How about giving thanks to the creator, after all we will all stand before Him one day. That's a promise He made.

According to the bible, we( Gods children) are to honor the sabbath day and keep it holy!!! The churches seem to overlook Jesus's words on the subject "remember this my children, that a thousand years to man is but a day to God, honor the sabbath"!!! Adam was created 4004 years before christ, and Christ was created 2004 years ago!!! We are in the 7th day/millennium, it's time to plant the planet!!! Forever and a day = 2012

I love your ten commandments! Maybe your blog readers are interested in the lastest news from Rainforest Rescue. We have just purchased a 10th property in the Daintree through the Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project to prevent this beautiful rainforest from being cleared and developed. The clearing of precious Daintree Rainforest puts over 100 threatened native species further at risk, including the endangered Cassowary.
Not-for-profit organisation Rainforest Rescue has now proposed to buy back and protect an eleventh property in the Daintree region! With no financial support from the government, Rainforest Rescue relies solely on donations from the public to see these purchases through. Each $2 saves one square metre of Daintree rainforest. That means a donation of $100 saves 50 sq metres!

Wonderful! Jesus should have brought that to the people, instead eating meat as a bad example. Anyway, he did other good things that we can live on.

Stop Child Abuse NOW! since 1975 from Donora, Pennsylvania to Portland, Oregon by a Survivor and his Handicapped. http://www.efn.org/~scan scan@efn.org
True Story from Donora, Pennsylvania and Portland, Oregon. One man over a childhood during which he and his twin sister were tormeneted and severly abused for eighteen years while the older brother and sister was not abused and not seek help. As a precious little boy he came close to death twice but Paul McLaughlin survived, and has been a tireless crusader for the rights of children and against child abuse. Paul began his life's work in his home town in Donora, Pennsylvania. He speak out on talk radio, open forums, symposium, a television commercial. Advertising on awareness of child abuse, newspaper and magazine articles. Volunteer his time with other nonprofit organization on fund raising for the homeless, hungry, crippled children, cancer, United Way, Child Abuse, etc. Today, he and his wife Liz now live in Eugene, Oregon where they continue to fight for the right of children everywhere from fear and abuse.
As of August 27, 2007 Paul's twin sister Paula, passed away from having kidney stones since the age of 21 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. See photos of web pages for Paul and Paula's of childhood and Paul's works of helping abused children. You will not see this in your community. PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE TO THOSE WHO HAVE GREATER MIND THAN I HAVE. Thank you.

Thank you for this share. Excellent idea. Maybe we could have ten commandments for how people all over the world should live harmoniously with each other, yet still agree to have individuality respected. But then it is always the chosen few who decide to govern their way or the highway. Man should unite together and lead with respect and dignity of all human needs. It doesn't make sense that some have millions to spend on bigger and faster whatever's, while others die of disease and starvation. Any wonder there is so much anger in the world. What about the escalation of child abuse? These babies suffer at the hands of those who consider themselves able to do this just because they can! It abhors me that such atrocities continue while the majority choose to ignor it simply because it is all too hard. United we stand. Divided we fall!
