Fancy Store Boasts 'Pony Skin' Furniture

This came through today on one of my horse rescue groups. In case you don't know what "pony skin" is; here's the deal.
For decades newborn Thoroughbred foals are taken away from their mothers and put on Nurse Mares (due to jockey club rules, the TB mare has to be sent off to be rebred right away). The Nurse mares are just 'ordinary' horses who've just foaled themselves. THEIR foals are often pretty little paints...and because they apparantly have no value in this whole scheme of things, these poor babies are often corralled up together and just left to starve to death. The 'Pony Skinners' come and buy them up for their hides; the prettier the pattern on their coat, the more they bring.

So when you're buying Pony Skin furniture, belts, hats, purses, or other things, THIS IS WHERE THE PONY SKIN COMES FROM.

I hope anybody who has a SOUL bombards this 'ritzy' furniture shop with protests. It makes me sick.

I 'am posting this disgusting advertisement that showed up on CraigsList.
Please email the business (I sure as heck did) and let them know that selling the hides of slaughtered foals is not acceptable ( or whatever choice words you
would like to use).
It is appalling that stuff like this goes on in this country everyday.
It was listed on a Miami Craigs List but as you can see they have a showroom on Park Ave. in New York.

This is disgusting what kind of "person" would even consider buying such things. How is it possible to become so far removed from love that u dont even realise how wrong what u are doing is? Dont u know what u are doing? Cant u feel anything?Clear the dollar signs out of your eyes and really feel for a while, how can u spend money made by the torture of innocents,how can u send ur children to school with this money? How do u expect your children to be surrounded by love when u support them up with money made out of violent,cruel brutality to innocent intelligent,loving,brave creatures? U curse yourselves and your families when u cause or support evil.
