You know you question alot at things like this; could someone deliberatly do that! I want to think it had to be an accident, although he certainly would not have been the 1st. Food for Thought here... The guy gets death penalty in a humane manner and the suffering is minimal! Life in prison though is not such hell these days! Some of those prison have more ammenities than middle class citizens! You know Paul the Apostle spent many years in prison for his Christian cause and was inspired greatly during those times with much content! He was one who had see the light and struggled making peace with forgiveness, because he had killed many people in his lifetime! Reform certainly can not be forced and history proves that! Crazy stuff...I personally can not get even or make a clear judgement on a person's motives, so these kinda of things bring many people to question my beliefs!

I don't see how anyone could possibly do that to a child, or anyone for that matter. People are sick, but I don't believe in the death penalty. I think, in this case, living would be worse than dying. He'll spend his life asking for forgiveness, but he wont get it in the end.

I know that in MD, Texas and NC six children were beheaded. One a 4 yr old girl, mother went to check on her when she got home, found her decapitated by the father who was babysitting. I think that was in NC. In Brownville, Tx a father decapitated a 2 mon old infant and a 1 and 3 year old siblings. Balitmore Md 2 children decapitated. Those are all parental killings. There are several where children have been found but not identified.
The Brownville father's defense atty said the father was insane from inhaling paint fumes and thought the mother and grandmother were witches.

One thing about the death penalty is the person can't do it again. As far as it being cruel and unusual--by whose stardards? Certainly not the perpetrator.
I know in some states the only crime punishable by the daeth penalty is to kill a police officer. I understand that is because he is there to protect ect but I could see one killing a police when be hunted down etc but to kill a totally helpless child to me is even more heinous.

I believe in the death penalty but I would not want to be on a jury where I had to judge anyone.
I could do it but would not want to.

I am not a person who likes to uphold the death penalty; that whole two wrongs don't make a right. I think he should be re-educated by some pretty harsh means.

Seems to me a person sick enough or cruel enough to behead a baby wouldn't care enough to suffer if allowed to live.Im all for the death penalty in this case!

I have never heard of such a horrible crime before and I have heard plenty in my time! This 'person' deserves nothing but the same as he gave that defenseless child. "an eye for and eye"

This person is sick and dangerous and it will not make any diffrence to him if he is living
or dead and I dont think we should give him a chance to do it again.

I believer, that anyone who kills a child should suffer the harshest penalty available.

Please let me suggest http://unity2008.org/OnLaws.html when needing to deal with this in a Civil Society - It is not a matter of what I believe , or you, about the punishment, but what is agreed as law that is to serve us. To serve us . it must, and therefore the law must be fair and just.

Well, I tried to 'leave' to give myself a much needed break but only a few of my friends were willing to give me the space I needed. I feel like I can't win for losing. I'm damned if I stay and I'm damned if I don't. Where is the respect we once had f...
