Relaxing and Being Lazy Are Not The Same Thing
We can be so hard on ourselves! You know the truth when it comes right down to it-you really are a worker bee! Those of us that own our own businesses basically work 7 days a week, regardless of what others may think. We spend hours upon hours working out little details, etc. What is really difficult for us is to know when to say when and take a break-yes an entire day!
We track out twitter follows, and our blog follows and worry if we are not doing that one extra thing that everything will fall apart and we won’t have a business.
It is a decision not to give into fear. I have to make that decision every day of my life. Am I “there” yet? No-I’m not. I won’t get there, however, by allowing fear to keep me out of balance.
Yes, there are financial realities-and I am the creator of these. Do I have my life set up in such a way that my basic needs are met no matter what? If I do that, then I create the pace that’s right for me.
I had to learn to take time off when I was a school teacher. I am doing nobody any favours by living in a state of total stress and chaos-least of all the clients I serve. Keeping healthy boundaries around the basics: sleep, rest, food, social time; allows me to stay sane and effective
Affirmation: I know when my work day ends and I honour my down time
Goal: Really organize yourself so that you can be fully present to yourself and your Beloveds
Tools: Calendar, watch, day planner, schedule, peace of mind, integrity, open heart, self-love
