Cadillac Championship happens this week on the PGA Tour. This tournament happens from the 8th of March to the 11th, and it is held at the TPC Blue Monster at Doral in Miami, Florida. The purse for this tournament is $8,500,000 and the winner walks away with nearly a million and a half dollars and 550 FedEx Cup points. Nick Watney won the championship last year. The next one on the calendar is the March 15th through the 18th Transitions Championship, which happens in Palm Harbor, Florida.

The European Tour will hold the WGC Cadillac Championships this week, followed by the Sicilian Open at the Donnafugata Golf Resort and Spa in Sicily, Italy March 17th through the 20th, and then onto the Open de Andalucia de Golf which happens in Malaga, Spain, March 24th through the 27th for a million Euros. Finally, the end of March is the Trophee Hassan II.
The WGC Cadillac Championship will be held from March 10th through the 13th at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Florida in the United States. This tournament is one of the most prestigious of the year and it is worth $8,500,000. This tournament has been going on since 1999, when it was held at Valderrama on November 4th and called the WGC American Express Championship, and won by Tiger Woods. Last year, the tournament was held in the same venue as this year, on March 11th and was won by Ernie Els, called the WGC- CA Championship.
Right now Luke Donald from England leads the race to Dubai, with €1,027,9232 in earnings. Second place, from Germany is Martin Kaymer. Alvaro Quiros takes the number three spot and Charl Schwartzel is fourth. Miguel Angel Jimenez is in the number fifth spot with Thomas Bjorn is sixth and Paul Casey takes the number seven spot in the Race to Dubai.
