This has been on my mind only about Anna. I, too, started following her when her son, Daniel, died, because I knew for better or worse, she, as a single parent, raised him. But what I see in all the media output, in her story, in watching the people in/out her life is that (I believe, though I have not seen it said or published, she was a victim of childhood sexual abuse, likely repeated, and that her life was in part an acting out of these core attacking events in her childhood. And in some ways, she repeated with Daniel the neglect she experience by her mother; this does not mean she did not provide Daniel with mothering better than what her mother provided her. She was a better mother in spite of his death. But she in effect self mutilated, and with alcohol and primarily prescription drugs and probably manijuana and methadone later, blotted herself out of (the painful) awareness that incest survivors have in much of there waking hours and dream time too. Anyway, I pray for her soul's happiness now. Responses to this are welcome. Vivianlee2
