In Hidden Places~Psalm 27:5~
Psalm 27:1 & 5
1.) The Lord is my right hand and my salvation:
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
5.)For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion:
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
At home; when you get a chance, you should read the whole chapter. It is very beautiful.
I started out with the title whispered prayer, and than when finding my little $5.00 Bible concordance had led me astray, (they use a different translation), I decided to go with Hidden places.
This actually works out much better, because you can translate this as having; both a literal, and a symbolic meaning. And what a wonderful promise this is. To know that when trouble comes we can rely on the Lord to hide us in His pavilion. We can be hidden physically, or in His spiritual pavilion,where we are safe, even when facing the most terrible danger.
And in times of trouble, we can intercede in His hidden pavilion, which can mean, that we can pray in our prayer room, but even more importantly, that we are praying in the Lord's hidden pavilion. This means that we can send intercessions to the Lord; in the safety of His prayer room, surrounded by His guardian angels, and covered in His presence.
This means that when chaos is all around us, we are enveloped in an inner peace, and led in prayer by the Holy Spirit. So when disaster happens, family trouble, tragedy, or any number of troublesome situations come our way. We pray in the pavilion of the Lord, hidden from the world, surrounded by angelic protection, covered in His presence, enveloped in peace, and led in prayer.
As intercessors we know that our prayer is important and that we can make a difference in the world. As His followers we know that we are kept in peace, and protected as we pray. When Satan tries to disturb your prayer with doubt, remember Psalm 27:5; make an effort to memorize this particular verse. If you are like me and can not memorize well, write this on an index card and tape it close by in your prayer room, or prayer place. This will encourage you, and comfort you. It will help you with your prayer.
