RTnews,New York, USA – US politician and ex-wrestler Jesse Ventura, who plans to run for president in 2016, criticizes the US electoral system and brands the country’s crackdown on protests as the “height of hypocrisy”.
Jesse Ventura, a former US Governor, ex-professional wrestler and Navy Seal, plans to run for the White House in 2016.
In an interview with RT, he said that he would run as an independent candidate.
“If I do it I would be with no party, it’ll be just Jesse Ventura running for president… And I do not run for political office just to make a statement, when I run – I run to win”, he said.
Ventura also called for reforms to the electoral system, and said the United States is run by a “two-party dictatorship”.
“We want to bring democracy all over the world and we don’t even have it here anymore. Because the two gangs pick your president.”
Commenting on the police crackdown on the Occupy Wall Street movement, Ventura said: “While we’re busy pepper-spraying them and running them off with dogs we’re heralding the protests over in the Middle East… We’re like cheerleaders over there, while at the same time here we’re squashing down our own protesters. The height of hypocrisy.”

I agree with Jesse Ventura. I have tried to get a Constitutional Party created with the Constitution as the platform. I have written to Dennis Kucinich and Alan Grayson to get involved in new party and now I reach out to you Jesse. With you talking to the other ones I mentioned as well as others could form a viable Constitutional party. I am sure there are others and you would have support of the 99% to draw from as grass roots. Can we stop talking and start acting but we need big names to step up and get the support of the grass roots.
