"The phrase "under  God"  has always bothered me, not only because it clearly violates the  "separation clause" (of church and state) , but also because it creates the suggestion of one narrow type of deity. (especially in the minds of impressionable kids) 
Perhaps , at the founding of the USA,  the majority of citizens believed in one supreme God;  however, today, we now have a much more diverse population which includes Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, Pantheists, Goddess Worhippers, Pagans, Agnostics and Atheists, to name but a few. 
I have to wonder why it is right to state "under God" rather than "in harmony with the Divine"  , or any other phrase  , or perhaps, just leave it out all together? 
When are the dictates of a powerful minority more important than the rights of the majority? 
And why is it that the same Christians that hunger for  and justify fear ,vegence and war....also claim peace, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and thou shall not kill?    I mean.. literally,  "who would jesus bomb?"... that is the one question I would ask the administration .  since of course,  they are: Christian  or rather "christ like"  instead of "god like" , right?!
