Quakertown PA: SOS! 3 nice cats tested FIV+ and are slated for euthanasia
Nov 13, 2012
Laura Schwartz in Bucks County is one of the contacts. She drove the kitties from NYC to Bucks County. I believe the shelter where they are located is http://www.bcspca.org/. Laura wrote on her Facebook profile http://www.facebook.com/cmclauratwo hours ago that the kitties are going to be killed tomorrow due to FIV+. I cannot find a photo of the Tabby but but here are photos of the gold and dilute calico brother/sister kitties. Quakertown is in Bucks County which is adjacent to NJ. I received the following email alert from Trudy tssh1@optonline.net.

24 Hours to Save 3 Cats Recently Rescued from The Bronxâ¦Euthanasia is eminent if RESCUE is not foundâ¦these cats have been through SO muchâ¦abandoned, survived the storm in a shed, transported hours to a shelterâ¦now they have tested fiv+â¦otherwise extremely healthy kitties with the potential of full, long, healthy lives.
Not sure we have the time to save them but it is surely worth a big try! We must notify shelter of a rescue by tomorrowâ¦
JUST received from the angel who drove from Pa to the Bronx to rescue these abandoned catsâ¦and now the story gets much sadderâ¦
âTrudy,
You may remember that I went up to the Bronx to rescue the dilute calico and orange/white (and a brown tabby she added to the equation). Turns out all 3 are FIV+ and the shelter will not be able to have them adopted out.
Everyone is heartbroken; the staff at the SPCA have already fallen in love with the calico. They are giving me 24 hours to get them out. Otherwise, they will have to euthanize.â
