11/14 Nadia of Brooklyn luvcats515@yahoo.com reports there is still no home for Paddington Bear. Nadia rescued him in December(!). He is staying with a neighbor because one of Nadia's resident cats doesn't like Paddy Bear. Please adopt or network the fantastic robust, strong Paddy Bear.

Paddington Bear Seeks His Forever HOME!

Isn't Paddy Bear gorgeous.  He has gained almost 4 pounds since his miraculous rescue on Christmas Eve 2011.
Paddy is fiv+ but otherwise EXTREMELY healthy and thriving, having gained 4 pounds with loving care and finally safe.
Paddy has been vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and  a very loving and human connected kitty.  He's about 2 yrs young.
He now awaits his Forever HOME because his Foster Mom has other kitties, one in particular, who has NOT taken well to Paddy's presence. This disturbance is wreaking havoc within the members of the household and the PRESSURE is ON to find Paddy his HOME!
At this time he is confined to a very, very, small area in the HOME where he is craving to be free to roam with his HUMANS and other furry friends if it works out that way.
FIV+ cats are known to live LONG, Healthy lives and never infect others. So much has been written on the MYTHS and Truths about fiv+ kitties. We gladly happy pass along, ***below, some of the newest fiv+ information if you have other kitties and are wondering about blending Paddy Bear in with your others. If Paddy would be your only then you surely have a perfect HOME.

***Visit   KITTY INFO PAGE on  website at http://forgottenfelinesny.org and click on the Feline Leukemia/Feline Aids links there for information about these viruses.
Please remember that FIV+ cats do NOT need to be separated from "normal" cats as long as there is no fighting as the FIV virus is only transmitted to cats (and only cats) by a deep puncture wound. Therefore if the cat is neutered and introduced properly, he can go to a regular home with other pets. For "How To Introduce Your New Kitty," go to our website at http://forgottenfelinesny.org and click on our KITTY INFO PAGE link there. Here you will find the  link to Introducing as well as links for info about this virus.  Also, FIV+ cats can and do live as long as normal cats.  The only precaution is that if they do come down with a cold or infection, they have to be treated promptly due to their compromised immune system.
