Subject: $100 Worth of Sweet Licorice Kisses Under the Mistletoe
To:

We're closing in on Christmas, and handsome Licorice still waits for his forever home for the holidays.  Here he is showing off his Santa's Helper good looks; his relaxed demeanor; and his loving companion sweetness with his foster.  If he could stay there, he would but unfortunately that is not the case. He is people, pet and kid friendly, fully vetted and tested negative.

Senior cats know the drill.  They know how to love in an adult manner; they cuddle, play and appreciate the attention they get.  They comfort if you're sad, snuggle when you're glad and only ask for love and care in return.  They are past the kid stage and don't get into everything at Christmas, but they sure do enjoy the warmth and love of a home. How about yours for Licorice??  You'll never regret it.
Contact Faith faithrajac@hotmail.com or Sandi at sdcain31@cox.net to arrange meeting him.  Transport provided.  Additional details in message below.

Here is your chance to scoop up this gorgeous guy and take him Home for the Holidays!
$100 guaranteed donation to qualified rescue or adopter.

The outlook seemed dim for lovely Licorice when he first came to our attention back in October. Turned into O.C. shelter, the 12-year-old long hair black beauty with a smoke red undercoat seemed a little unsteady on his rear legs in a small cage, but there was something about him that made him a favorite.
With the help of some very kind people, Licorice was sprung from OC, spent a few days with a vet to evaluate his legs and went on to a wonderful foster for a temp stay after being declared healthy by the doc, with no obvious injury or ailment.  With kitties living to age 20 or more these days, he's ready to do a lot of living and has a ton of love left to give!

He's just been professionally groomed, had a mani-pedi, combo tested negative, is current on vaccines, neutered, and ready for his adoption debut!  Turns out, once daily Cosequin supplement in his food is improving the strength in his legs caused by aging.  Now, he's as mobile as a teenager!  He's met the family cats at his foster, been kid- and dog-tested, loves to be petted, jumps up to sit on your lap, curls around your legs, and recently graduated from a separate room in the home!
