When human history have entered the 21st century, the traditional energy such as coal, fossil oil or natural gas has no longer satisfy the need of human being. And also they have severe drawbacks such as soaring price and environmental pollution. But with the wisdom of human beings, they have discovered the great value lying in the biomass material. Once processing them in the China AKG biofuel pellet mill machines, they can be compressed into the solid and condensed pellets with high density and high value.

pellet Lignin

Those kind of pellets can not only satisfy the residential need but also for industrial purpose. Their combustion efficiency can reach as high as 98%, with an ash content lower than 1.5%. Such kind of pellets is usually at the length between 5 to 8 cm, with a diameter around 6 to 8 mm. Good quality pellets would be hard with a glossy surface. How the pellets is formed in this way and why it can be so smooth? The secrets lies in a special element called- lignin.

Lignin a kind of carbohydrate "sugar" (Click this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar get more about what is sugar.) lies in the cell wall of the biomass material. The lignin content varies in different plants. The more lignin it has, the stronger the plant would be. For example, you will find out the wood is harder than most of the plants for its lignin content is high. Likewise, the mechanical strength of the wood pellets is also much stronger.

Under heat and pressure, lignin will be softened and bine the loose material together. When the temperature cool down, the lignin will therefore become hard again, and so the pellets will become solid and highly-solidified.

However, if the lignin lacks in the biomass material, adding other binders can also help solidifying the pellets. Gather more information at this website: akgbiomass.com.
