This is a good time to pray for those who are in desperate and dire need; for all across the earth there are disasters and violence going on. There are always many homeless on this earth, and with all the terrible events going on in this day and age, the number of homeless has increased and multiplied. For instance fires in Australia, and storms elsewhere, flooding in Pakistan and in the United Kingdom have left people without homes. Haiti has more homeless people than people with homes, and although I haven't heard as of late, they are unable to even catch up with disasters which have happened from years past. And ironically, in some Northern countries, homes have collapsed from the heavy amounts of snow and ice which has fallen. The refugee is almost always homeless, living in camps, and if lucky they might have a tent. Trying to escape from violence; now they are in foreign countries dealing with disasterous weather, (and even winter storms, freezing weather, and often without help.) This is happening from the Middle East; clear to Greece. And while drought often happens in disasterous effects in Africa, this year can only be worse. Africa has the homeless, the refugee, disaster, and violence with multiplied and turmulous effect. It is time that we step up our intercession for the homeless, in it's many forms, and many effects. Even in countries such as the United States homelessness has been on the increase, and in the North there have been sub zero temperatures, storms, and one winter disaster following another. Many people have lost their homes.
