On September 11, 2001 this country lost 2,996 people. Some say this was the most tragic day in United States history. Suppose you have six jets go down every single day killing 783,936 people a year. Now would you consider that a threat to the Nation? Over 750,000 people actually do die in the United States every year, from prescription drug overdose and very often times this is SUICIDE as a result of the drugs.
The number of suicides in the past decade, 3,438, exceeds the 3,256 combat deaths suffered by the United States and its allies in Afghanistan.
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs,
one veteran commits suicide every 80 minutes.
