If you're looking to try something different for dinner tonight, here's a recipe I found on the inside of a box of Numi Organic Gunpowder Green Tea. Not only is this a heart-healthy recipe, thanks to the high levels of Omega 3 fatty acids in the fish, but it's also great for your skin. The green tea adds to the skin-boosting effect with its antioxidents and catechins. I haven't tried this for myself yet, but from the ingredients, I can tell that it is an Asian-inspired recipe. Simple, too. Enjoy!
Ingridients:
1 lb. salmon fillet (cut into small strips) 2 tbsp. soy sauce 4 tbsp. sherry
2 tea bags Gunpowder Green Tea
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. sesame seeds
Instructions:
Blend soy sauce and sherry mixture in frying pan and place salmon pieces in for 10 minutes to marinate. Simmer over moderate heat until sauce is absorbed.
Steep tea bags in mug for five minutes. Squeeze and remove tea bags. Stir in cornstarch.
Pour tea mixture over salmon and cook another 5 minutes or until sauce slightly thickens.
Roast sesame seeds in dry frying pan over low heat until seeds begin to jump. Mix seeds into salmon and sauce. In Good Health!
