Subject: JOIN CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL to PROTEST the ELIMINATION of LAAS' graveyard shift
To: elisha lockhart <elishalockhart@gmail.com>
Cc:
Join LAAS staff on March 20th from 6pm to 9pm in front of the East Valley shelter for a candle light vigil  to protest elimination of the graveyard shift at LAAS.

Effective March 31st, Brenda is shutting the lights at all 6 LAAS after midnight.
Help keep them lit. Light a candle and join the candle light vigil and make your voice be known so the precious voiceless animals who cannot speak can be heard.

Please also contact City Council and Commissioners (contact info below) and please cross post widely!

Barnette is shutting the lights after midnight at LAAS,  the graveyard shift and its Animal Care Techs are being eliminated, leaving the animals with no ACTs and no supervision or care at any LAAS shelter overnight, every night of the year. Not having ACTs overnight endangers the shelter animals, and also endangers the animals needing to enter the shelter overnight such as the strays, sick, injured, or dying, will have to be left in a box if they are lucky otherwise lying on cold concrete in front of the shelter, some in bloody agony with crushed bones, newborn kittens and puppies being dumped without their mothers, will now be unable to eat, laying in front of a shelter with no food or warmth until the first LAAS  employee arrives at 6 am. Since there will be no ACTs at the shleter, dog fights will go on as they do with no one to stop them. Those who will get injured from the dog fights will end up lying in their own pool of blood, suffering and/or dying until the shelter opens in the morning.
