Hello fellow groupies...
Yes, I know, I have been so very lax at checking in here...but, I really do have an excuse. No really I do... well at least I think it's an excuse...lol!
I got married about a year ago (May 2012) and finally have found happiness. My husband, Duane, has two daughters (Paula and Crystal) that have chosen not to be in his life. On the other hand... he jumped in with both feet when it came to my children and grandchildren. We have two new additions since I last posted... a granddaughter born in August 2012 and a grandson born in October 2012. He continually thanks me for allowing him to be part of my family and to be a grandfather. I am just glad that he is there.
This Thursday, 18 April 2013, I will go in for cancer surgery. I will be checking in as I am able... you know that sleep and stupor of pain meds. It will be an outpatient surgery (seems like just about all the surgeries are that way today). And, I will be lucky enough to have my husband being my care giver for 8 days. I hope I will be a 'good patient' for him.
Please say prayers for me... IF you are inclined to do so... good thoughts work too.
I again am very sorry for not checking in on this group, which I am supposed to be hosting, more than I do. I know everyone of us has a really busy life with one thing or another...but, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let's keep this group together... share our stories of how we are coping with the distance between us and the grandchildren...whereever they may be.
AND, if by some chance that distance is not a problem anymore... AWESOME!!! please stay with the group. Your idea(s) about how to deal with things... is still very vital...
See you guys soon...
