Koombana Bay in Bunbury, Western Australia is one of a few locations in Australia where bottlenose dolphins come to birth and look after their young.
Since 2006, at least 18 dolphin deaths have occured in Bunbury, Western Australia. Local press reguarly reports boat strikes, fishing line entanglements and general poor health of many other dolphins. To date no government funding to investigate these deaths has occurred.
The govenment must investigate these dolphin deaths and restict boating and fishing in the bottlenose dolphins' habitat. Soon there may be no dolphins left in Koombana Bay.
