Hey everyone! I wanted to share my beliefs with you. If you disagree, that's okay, but please no hatemail! Personally, I oppose the new proposal that the Boy Scouts of America should revoke the longstanding policy on homosexuality. An organization that teaches character, courage, and conviction shouldn't be exploited as a laboratory for sexualized political correctness. For decades, the BSA has kept the interest of the boys it serves as the focus of all its actions. No matter what, the Boy Scouts of America could be counted upon to do the right thing and not yield to any social or corporate pressure, and has thus far stood strong. I urge the voting members of the BSA National Council to not jeopardize the safety and moral integrity of Scouting in order to advance a political agenda. The proposal would allow what the Scouts call 'open and avowed' homosexuals to participate in Boy Scouts through the age of 18. This proposal is fraught with danger and sends the message that homosexuality is morally straight,' something completely at odds with the historic convictions of the BSA. Parents should be able to entrust their sons to the organization with the confidence that they will not be exposed to inappropriate sexual topics such as homosexuality. The BSA should retain the current long-held and time-tested policy regarding homosexual leadership and membership.
Jesus does not want this to happen to our nation! Why do you call this "hatred" and "homophobia" and "intolerance" and "hypocrisy" when it is really standing strong in faith? It's like kids at school. If you don't do wrong stuff at all the time they call you a "teacher's pet" or a "goody two-shoes". It's the same principle, except on a larger scale. I am glad that gay boys and men aren't allowed. When I was a boy scout in summer camp, I know I wouldn't want to have gay boys in summer camp because I would feel more uncomfortable then I already was! The Boy Scouts are not the last of the homophobic, they are the last of the God-fearing straight standing!
