Mary, I'm not a computer genius, but just a few basics. Anyway, John arrived in Idaho on a scholarship many years ago. He left the city life behind. We were raised in Detroit, Michigan. So, although John did not like it in the city, he lived out in the country, in Idaho. Yes, if he had it his way, he just as soon have been buried in his pastures he toiled in, so many years. He had alot of stories about the people, but he never let it bother him. John was a soldier for Christ. He took complete care of his family, worked all the time, took care of his 4 or 5 dogs, not to mention he helped alot of people, always helping up to his last day on Earth. No one knew his long battle with rare cancers was about to end. He loved the mountains, air and animals, of course his family. Guess the people did not concern him because he liverd for Christ. He told me once that I may think the people I know are strange, but he could out do my story of strange, everytime. He was not a gun person, nor hunter etc....he battled alot of people about animals and them being God's creatures. John loved being away from everyone. I do understand the uncomfortable feeling. When my Mom passed in 2009, I moved out to this farming community, from Detroit.....I love seeing the farm animals, not eating them! Buck Poles and hunting deer, makes me sick. My dogs and I go looking for deer to watch them graze out in the fields. I do not fit in here either, thank God !!!! Just beats the drug infested, crime riddened streets of Detroit. Me and my dogs love to see the train go through the middle of town, my church is a couple blocks away and now I have my own veggie garden to maintain. Kind of feels like a taste of Heaven....Anyway, I know alot of people who have drama in their life, I'm thankful I left most behind. I wrote a story to you, so you would know about the issues I know you face, but I erased it, somehow.
As time goes by, the joy Bear gave you, will never be replaced, just a new joy will happen. In Michigan our shelters are full of all breeds, including my favorite....Adult Mutts!!!! Anyway, hope your new best friend is everything you hope for and more. Anytime you help one of God's creatures, you help yourself. I read alot about laws out there that do not protect animals, the dog fighting rings, the animal abuse etc...the best we can do, is one at a time. It will be okay..sometimes it takes longer, when we want it most. I'm learning alot of life's lessons, through animals.......
