I have always been a strong proponent of a future united, federal Europe - a single European country, as a more progressive, liberal counterpoint towards the current U.S. hegemony and towards the upcoming powers of China, India and Russia. And I feel, especially in times like these, with economic hardships all over the continent, it becomes even more important to keep on to the dream and vision of a single Europe.

The European Union would be the third most populous country in the world, and the seventh largest country in the world by area. English would be the official public written and spoken language and the lingua franca of the entire union - while local languages would be taught besides English in their respective traditional home ranges. The Euro would be the currency of the entire union. Travelling and moving between the states of the union would be entirely unrestricted.

The united Europe would consist of the following present independent countries, including all of their dependencies:

- Germany
- France
- United Kingdom
- Italy
- Spain
- Poland
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- Greece
- Portugal
- Czech Republic
