LOW INCOME~POOR PEOPLE AND McCOOK, NEBRASKA~SUMMER OF 2013~
Jul 3, 2013
Prayers are need despretely! Poor people are still being mistreated in McCook! Not only are they evicting poor people from their houses with few options being left to them; because their homes are being torn down without rebuilding new low income rental for families that have three or four children, but they are teaching their children that poor people are "them"! Thats right!!!! they have taken the English language to new heights; or should I say; new lows! They are telling children at the McCook Public Library that these people are getting kicked out because of something they have done; and that they are them! This happened to Jesus and his disciples also, come to think of it. For some reason these people think they are better than Jesus; telling the children that even Jesus wouldn't forgive them. They don't think about, or maybe because they consider the children them, or genetic flaws, or damaged, or too influenced by their parents, that these children have to go to school, and face the public in many varieties of ways, and that they lives will become unbearable because of lack of secure housing, and public attitude and mistreament.
Low income children have grown up to become great heros, and leaders, scientists, doctors, and many keep the nation going with the labor and minimum wage jobs they do! History is full of the proof of this, but McCook, Nebraska has developed a nightmarish scheme of getting rid of the low income families which they do not like! I wish I had more data to give to you, but the McCook Gazette was helpful in publishing the events which were and are happening, and I heard with my own ears what the children were being taught.
Some people are happy with McCook. They police chief is happy because he has a nice new police station, the sheriff's department is happy because they are getting a new building to house their jail cells, they have a new walking path which could have waited, and rarely is used, while in the meantime low income people are losing their homes, and being subjected to abuse. I do not think this will end either, because they are more homes to tear down, (without) low income rentals being built to replace them, and more trailer courts will be emptied, again (without) low income rental being built to replace homes lost!
And you happen to believe in the way of Jesus, in having compassion, in saving the lost, and in transformation and people becoming new creations, you are mocked and scorned in the city of McCook, Nebraska and in surrounding areas also! This is where Christians decide if they will still follow the teachings of Jesus, or go along with the crowd. We definitly need your prayers also! God Bless, Donna
