How the USAtreats its allies (or why the enxt SEptember 11 will not really make anyone in Romania feel sorry for you guys)
Feb 2, 2006
Some 16 months ago, an USA marine by the name of Christopher VanGoethem, stationed at the US Embassy in Bucharest, got himself very drunk whilst in BUcharest, went driving drunk, drove into a Romanian taxi and killed the client in the taxi,a musician by the name of Teo Peter. MR Christopher VanGoethem was taken out of Romania fast to be judged in teh USA, where,lo and behold, he was acquitted by the lovely martial court because "There was no evidence that Teo Peter was in teh taxi that Christopher VanGoethem hit with his car". Not to mention that the blood tests, that showed the American was drunk, have disappeared into mid air. Romania is a small country. We seem to be very good to help the USA in its wars. Our soldiers have been very good to die in the USA wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. WE have been good sports about the Bush government forcing upon Romania a contract with Bechtel that we did not want nor need. We have fucking given the USA land for 2 US bases. This is how we are repaid.
And you guys are wondering why half of the world hates the USA? Why a lot of countries had parties in the streets after 9/11?? There is your answer. The Romanian Government will support Teo Peter's family in opening a civil case against this asshole. That includes money and legal assistance.
Therefore, from the 22 million Romanians that this verdict spat in the face of I will give a big FUCK YOU to the US Navy. Do NOT come to us for help next time someone gives you what you have been asking for.

I'm sorry for the loss of this talented man. It's always tragic when someone is killed especially when alcohol/drugs are involved. I sort of guess this should of been sent to Bush though. Not all Americans agree with the war, and we don't like it anymore than you do. Most of us don't agree with drinking and driving. Again, I'm sorry that this tragedy happened.

This is typical non-justice system. There is no justice, only men who want more and more power over the lives of innocent people. Often in this universe, however, justice will see itself done in time.

Every day in the usa 1000's of drunk driver... hit people in the Usa.. probably 100's die...
Does no one in "Romania" drink..
I've spoken to many Russian woman they all say the same thing...
"The men here are drunK too much..."
"You actually think"
The USA... "Took a Blood sample" and it wasn't lost..
If you want to look to injustices...
Try Nagasaki.."The A-Bomb"
A Personal act...by a individual..."Is not a Government"
Because, "He was a soldier" doesn't allow... "you to sue..the soldier's Government"
Hey, America.. Lies...about..things.. It's image.. to me a citizen..is has been at best questionable...and "It ain't getting any better"
Alcoholism, is a worldwide eppademic..."not a USA"
isssue only"
We in the USA prosecute,, "Drunk drivers"
If your country..."lost a Blood sample"
why, "Blaim us"
Negligence, can be proven without.. a Blood sample
We put people in Jail for negligent homacide.. "here" why wouldn't we there"
I bet, The USA.. "Has put the guy.. in the "Brig"
I bet he's in there a long long time...
"Doesn't really sound like you know all the facts..."
But, America's injustaces.."Aren't some slob who got drunk"

Actaully Jeffrey, let me break this down for you
If this guy would have killed an American civilian, he would have been prosecuted and sent to jail.
He killed, without the smallest shadow of a doubt, a Romanian. Whether Romanians drink or not, it is not the issue here. The issue is that an American soldier comitted a crime in an ally country, and is getting away with it with the blessing of the US navy.
The team that investigated this case has sent everything that needed to be sent to the US prosecution teams and to the US embassy.
A lost bloodsample? No, a FAKED ONE.
The blood sample taken from the American officer (btw) that night in a Romanian hospital showed that he was severely drunk. the one that allegedly was sent to Washington by the US Embassy showed that he did not drink.
We have enough means here to take blood tests.
As for the war, this is an important issue.
BEING ALLIED WITH USA HAS PUT ROMANIA IN HARM'S WAY. WE HAVE NEVER HAD TERRORIST ATTACKS IN ROMANIA , BECAUSE WE DO NOT GO AROUND STEALING OTHER COUNTRIES' RESOURCES AND LANDS. WE HAVE ROMANIAN SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, IN THE AMERICAN WARS, AND ROMANIA HAS NO INTEREST IN THESE WARS WHICH ARE COMPLETELY OF THE USA'S MAKING.
It is npt OK to get drunk and kill people, and then get away with it because the person you killed is not american. that simple.

I don't believe that Romania has 'given' the US land for two bases. I'm sure we pay for them and I'm sure we subsidize local businesses. Also, I don't think a drunken soldier was trying to say thank you for the land by killing innocent people. He shouldn't get away with this nor should you let his actions speak for me. Do you think I'm proud that one of our soldiers devastated the lives of so many? Do you think I'm proud about the fuckers that tortured the Iraqi prisoners? Fuck no!!! Granted that the soldier could be found guilty by evidence, he needs to be locked up under Romanian law and pay restitution for his actions. This is not acceptable by any means. I understand what you're saying and agree we are fucked-up. Remember though, I don't support the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan or our foreign policies. I don't support Bush and I hate our double standards abroad. But please, please understand that although I live in America, it doesn't mean I support what goes on. If it helps you any, I vote responsibly and accordingly.
Please listen to yourself and keep me in mind. I don't agree with what we do to others but I have made my very best effort to change this. Have you? I couldn't give a fuck about the celebrations that took place on 9/11. In fact, I hope it made someone step back from the television and say, "Those Palestinians are seriously pissed about something...I wonder why. It doesn’t make sense. I need to find out what’s really going on.” Without a doubt in my mind, I was not surprised by the attacks on 9/11. I have been idle, knowing that somewhere at sometime we will be repaid for our actions abroad. So with that said, I enjoy reading your statement “And you guys are wondering why half of the world hates the USA”. I can’t help but to laugh. I haven’t wondered a damn bit why we are despised. It’s obvious to me as well as so many others. Please don’t generalize or marginalize the efforts of a large amount of US citizens that fight against this shit and support your country as well as many others.
If people want to bitch about 9/11 and how it killed innocent civilians, so be it. I’ll agree with them but I KNOW that this is the only way people can confront a superpower. It’s sad and unfair but it’s been in the making for such a long time. I have no doubt in my mind that the US actions in themselves can be considered terror. We’ve been doing it for years. Killing scores of Iraqi’s with sanctions while their leader had no problem getting food and medicine. In addition, the whole corrupt scandals of the UN are just ridiculous (Oil for Food).
I’m no anti-Jew but Israel must recognize the Palestinians and give them what they want. They too are people and the way they’ve been treated and robbed is a huge breeding source for resentment and hatred towards Israel (they too terrorize – murder and theft) and the US. I’ll go out on a limb here and say three things that caused the past and future events of 9/11. The funny thing about this is that it’s preventable.
Respect the Muslim faith before it turns into ‘islamofascism’
Don’t support the Israeli state until the Palestinians get what’s rightfully theirs
Get rid of our crucial dependency on oil
These all work together and interchangeably complement each other.
Am I being an isolationist? Obviously, but if you heard the shit spewing from Bush’s mouth during the State of the Union address last week, if he keeps his shit up, we will stay on square one in the fight on terror. If one wants to argue, please do but don’t bring isolationism up when referring to acts of genocide. That’s another ballgame – a different chapter and I’m tired of writing.

We are the world...the United States is the only country without a nationality, it's made up of people from nations around the world. I don't think the US is responsible for the rapes of 400,000 Congo women. We, may, I don't know, purchase the gold, and diamonds, like China and the UK (biggest importer, I read) does from the forced slavery of some of those who survive.
Imagine if you will an attack on the UK, such as done in US on 911, and Tony Blair saying it was done by those Arabs? That's kind of what got the US boys (and gals) riled up, (much like Hitler riled the Germans about communists, ready to take over the country), so that he could turn it into Nazi Germany. Those of us that suggested there might be more than the offical version, were told we were stupid, and anti-Americans, belonging to terrorist groups ourselves. A US citizen has as little power as the Iraqi women dying, or how Iran, Israel, El Salvador is run, as anyone in any other country. Except maybe Sweden and a few.
I truthfully was not given any choice to which country I would be born, when I was but an egg in my mothers womb. As far as I know, no one is. And we're not all the same, be we Japanese, Italians, Russians, Australians. Each in each country is an individual like one from the others, alike and different. We need to think of the future of the planet, spread love today.
