Hi Mirabelle, I agree with your colon cleanse diet, but here I need to tell something about high fiber intake. High intake fiber leads to some health issues too.
Here are the recommended fiber levels for both men and women.
For Males (19-50 years): 38gm/day
For Females (19-50 years): 25gm/day
For Male (51 years and older): 30gm/day
For Females (51 years and older): 21 mg/day
Increasing these levels may leads to health issues. By consuming good amounts fibers and water we can avoid constipation problems, these foods make the stools soft and bulkier so it is easy to expel. By increasing the fiber levels, it can combine with certain vitamins and minerals to make them unavailable to the body in a chemical process called "chelation". Fibers do carry water out of the body, which could be dehydrating. It is important to drink extra fluids to help fiber work.
