I Find The Argument from AKC Commpelling I Believe that Existing laws should Be Strengthened and Enforced Better The Legislative Response of Throwing A new law at the problem Whenever Enough people complain Is Part of the Problem With Corruption, Poor Enforcement and Abuse of Process. Absolute laws Banning Tethering Will Cause a Large number of Loved and Cared for Animals to Be taken away and put in Shelters Killed and sold to Animal Labs. It will allow Dog haters to Turn in thier Neighbors Without Just Cause. It will Cause animals to be confined indoors where they won't get the Sun and Smells of outdoor living. These Laws are just another Step towards outlawing Dogs; Is that Really What you Want! !

No we don't. In Virginia, we tried to get a time limit on tethering dogs, i.e., for a twelve hour period during the week when people work, etc. Say for instance from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It was shot down in flames. However, what I personally do want, is for people to stop treating dogs like yard ornaments. Dogs are pack animals and need to be with their "pack". Chaining up a dog 24/7 is cruel and pointless. Why have a dog?

OMG!!  Apparently this person has never been to a shelter on euthanasia day.  This bill is heroic!!!  I wish my state's general assembly had the intelligence to introduce a bill like this.  Four months of age is perfectly fine....
