I just wanted to send this out in the hope that people would read it and respond:

I was ignorant until recently concerning the atrocities that are taking place in Darfur. Immediately I felt guilt for my ignorance and inaction, then anger at the people who are perpetrating this calamity, then saddness for the people that have been killed and displaced.

Everyday, the 2.5 million people chased from their homes in Darfur face the threat of starvation, disease, and rape, while the few lucky enough to remain in their homes risk displacement, torture, and death.

Please do something to end this tragedy. Please sign and cross-post these petitions. And, if you can, please consider donating to one of the groups sposoring the petitions.

We cannot be complacent any longer!! We CAN and MUST do something!!

Thank you so much for urging President Bush to make sure all the necessary criteria are included in the final peacekeeping force deployed to Darfur.
