When I first met Agnes here at Care2 she was warm, friendly, and very supportive of projects and efforts to improve the environment and promote planting of gardens, farms and forests.

She quickly and easily joined my groups
Forest Across America Project (FAAP) and Making A Difference Now (MADNow) and added warmth and kind posts to soften my aggressive and overly forward posts.

From the day I met her she became and remained my very best Care2 friend.  We privately discussed and tried different approaches, trying to find anyone willing to plant a FAAP garden, farm or forest.  Some would respond to her kind and colorful approaches.  She did have a wonderful effect on others.

With our best efforts, including Agnes posting pictures of her personal garden, declaring it a FAAP garden, we still did not seem to move others to join our collective efforts.  We could not seem to find anyone that wanted gardens or forests, that wanted it enough to post their interest, or to actually plant something.

I know that this can have a very devestating effect on the emotions, draining our emotional push to do the world some good.  Being so willing to help others with their efforts and nobody wanting the help, nobody wanting the gardens, farms and forests,... the rejection of our efforts can be very heart breaking.

Well, now Agnes has a broken heart.  I have read that she had a heart attack and is now in a coma.

When Agnes told me she was breaking off with her husband, I knew there would be trouble coming soon.  Breaking off with someone one has spent a lifetime with,... can lead to a very fast decline in physical strength and health.

Breaking off with those that care, reclusing,... usually takes six months to a year to cause the death of the one reclusing,... being alone kills, and it usually does not take long.

I tried even harder to get others to plant or at least participate in the project, to give Agnes something to hold on to,... to give her hope,... to connect her with the kind of friends that would lift her up, give her a reason to live and maintain her health.

Now Agnes is in a coma.  Even if we were to decide that Agnes was worth the effort,... she would not know we have started gathering in her honor, she would not know that she was our reason to plant gardens to make the world a better place.

She would not know that on her death bed someone cared enough about her to move to a farm and grow enough food to help others,...

She would not know that someone some where has cared enough to plant a forest in her honor.

But there is still a chance, a potential, that Agnes is not finished here.  There is an opportunity to gather and start working together as a team effort to plant gardens, farms and forests,...

So that if Agnes were to recover,... on her next visit to Care2 she could find posts on FAAP and MADNow and more important
A Forest in Brazil letting her know that we did care about her,... and we appreciate and respect her past several years efforts to bring people together to have new forests planted, and gardens grown for the benefit of those in need.

If anyone can think of anything else Agnes spent her last several years doing,... you can post about it.  What I saw was a strong desire to help people meet and make friends with each other,.... and plant, plant veggies, plant herbs, plant trees,.... plant anything,.... plant something,... and post about it so others would do it too.

She even claimed her own garden an FAAP garden to try to get someone to participate.

This is what I saw in Agnes Corbet, is a warm and caring desire to help others do the good that she felt to old and tired to do.

If we could only find someone willing.  We tried.

If you would like to participate,... please post your interest.

I will help you with your efforts if I am able.  Your efforts will honor Agnes, and that is what this message is about,... can you honor Agnes by meeting others,... making friends,... and planting something, a lot of something as a Tribute to Agnes Corbet?

Nothing is over until it's over.
Yes, she might be in coma but she's not dead and while she's alive there always is hope.

Your idea to honor her by continuing her work is very nice. But please don't speak about her as if she's not among us already.

God's ways are unknown and his power is great. So, lets do what we have and can do and keep hope alive. Trust our Lord and pray for Agnes's full recovery.

Thank you.

Bill I know the news is that her condition is Grave, but she is still alive. Please don't speak of her as if she has left us. She is still alive, and we hope able to fight against her illness as she fights for the forests and gardens. xxx

Agnes is a strong and giving person, I know her as a co-host in Animals Helping Humans where she works behind the scenes to keep us focused and together as one. While there is life there is hope and I pray she will soon be back amongst us with her quiet and steadying presence.

Agnes, I don't know you well; but I respect what you've been doing. I'm so sorry that life hasn't treated you kindly. Please don't give up. There are a lot of people here who, obviously, love you. Sending healing thoughts and prayers for both your health and your heart...may God speed your total recovery in all ways!

I am crying over here... I didn't know about her brekaing up with her hubby neither did I know about the heart attack.

Agnes is a HUGE animal lover, she would do/sign/forward tons of petitions to help the animal kingdom.

But Pandute is right, she is not yet gone. There is HOPE, still. We have to believe in that.

I love you Agnes ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))

God hasn't had tougher battles; Agnes is a strong lady with a big big heart. Her message HAS spread globally, not least with me. During my recent troubles, her messages of light kept me going. I've been cut off from Care2 a bit, mostly connection problems so didn't get the news about Agnes, but I'm sure, I hope and pray, that Agnes will tell them upstairs "not yet! Still much to do".
Across the spectrum of Care2, Agnes' fingerprint is stamped. I'm not a praying kind of person as some of those who know me, know, but today I guess, I'm diverting those vibes and sending them Agnes' way. Thanks for this message and heads up Bill.
mucho amor to Agnes

As I posted for Agnes and my own private messages- she's not gone anywhere,Bill. I do feel the same way as others not talking as if Agnes were not here in this world. She is not well but has not gone anywhere....

I don't think or feel that at all. I wouldn't want to send that energy. I could hear her now commenting the same about someone else in a similar situation.

I have posted my comments and I care for Agnes in a special way as so many do. She is truly one of a kind.
She is kind,Sweet,Strong & a very Calm natured person. Most know her in some way.
I've known Agnes a long time. I can't ever remember not knowing her.

Plant trees by all means and that should never stop. I didn't like the comments as if she is gone . I aso felt compelled to say something.
Agnes being so strong and so very calm as a person. That's what will make a big difference.

Coma's have a way of shutting down the body to heal and I would hope not to ever see anyone talking/commenting as if she is not here among us.

Ron has a great comment posted. I'm not a praying kind of person so to speak either but I have my own ways.

Thanks for letting me post and there are great bursts of energy everywhere but I know Agnes has the most energy inside of her.

My thoughts and prayers are with Agnes at this time. She is a much valued Care2 friend and fellow activist. I am planting a tree in her honor. We all must continue with the work that she so much cared about and engaed in tirelessly.

After reading this--even if I think of other people as well--there isn't going to be a single flower that I plant/tend to that Agnes won't cross my mind.

I haven't gotten the chance to know her as well as I would like to have either--and hope that there's still time to on this side of life, but, if not, I'll see her later!--but I do know that, for whatever my occasional participation is worth, I'm proud to be a part of this wonderful group and have always thought that Agnes has such a kind face. Love just radiated out of her face!

This coming Saturday (August 11), members of Invisible Youth Network (I'm one of them!) are going to be doing kind and positive things in the name of our organization (that is, giving out information about us to all whom we help), and, now, I'll be sure to include in the information that I'll be creating and using for my part Agnes' story and how we should plant trees and flowers along with stressing the importance of farmland, being kind to animals, etc.--and just, overall, making a positive difference!

And I'll start celebrating Agnes now by sharing this share!

Love & Prayers!
AJ :-)

I just returned from visiting my family in the states and learned that my dear friend Agnes is extremely ill and in the hospital. I am so saddened by this and miss her very much! One day I was talking with her on the IM and in the middle of our conversation she had to run off to deliver a baby. That is what kind of a caring person she was....always worried about everyone and every living thing! I pray she will be well very, very soon!
