I am new to this group but, not to my life. I am a single soldier who happens to be a lesbian. Anyway...I just found out that when my unit leaves in a few weeks I am to go with them to iraq. Last minute you know how those's things work. So my thing is how do we set up support for those of going over who may not know if there are other's out there like us?

There are other's out there like us. i know this for a fact. There are more females that our Bi or Lesbian in the Military than one may think. I am a lesbian and I just got out of the Army. I was supposed to deploy in November. Don't fret, you will me plenty like you, especially downrange. when you do meet these people, keep them close and stick together and these people will be your support system.

I have been deployed befroe and I saw way too many to count. I am back after 2 months for being a lesbian and my fiance she couldn't be happier. Thank you fo rthe support and I am sorry it took so long to respond back.

Oops! O didn't see your October message until after I submitted my message. Welcome back. by the way, I lived in Staten Island once for four years, and taught school at P.S. 42. I lived on Grimes Hill across from Wagner Colleage where I earned my Masters Degree.
