Barbara Jordan - the Texan We Need

In a day when we yearn for true leaders whom we can trust, who perform the duties of their office with compassion and zeal, whose integrity remains in tact in spite of their political success, I'd like to honor one of those rare people who have come along over the years who is a true leader - Barbara Jordan - the first black representative to Congress from Texas.

If you are old enough to remember and to have watched on TV - the Nixon Watergate impeachment hearings, a monumental event in it's time, you will have witnessed the calm, dignified and relentless pursuit of the truth by Congresswoman Jordan.
