Dear friends, this is very cruel and sad. An "artist" from Costa Rica, named Guillermo Habacuc Vargas, put a starved dog as a work of art, the poor doggie dead there, he did not want anyone give him food o water. This monster asked  some childres to chase the dog and he paid them for their dirty work to give him the dog.

In that event, (in which the dog died) he was chosen to represent his country in the "Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008",

I am writing regarding the horrifying actions of Guillermo Habacuc Vargas,who paid local children to catch a dog on the street and then confined,starved and publicly displayed the dog as an "art" exhibit until the innocent animal died of starvation.
I along with many people world wide am outraged that Guillermo habacuc Vargas has been selected to represent Costa Rica in "Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008",This man is by no definition of the word an artist he is a criminally insane sadist and enjoys inflicting prolonged suffering upon his innocent victims.he is a danger to all of society as it is well documented that those with the capacity to intentionally cause harm to an animal have the same capacity to harm humans.
To state that this animal would have died eventually of natural causes is unjustifiable and beyond logical,rational thinking.
To allow Guillermo habacuc Vargas to represent Costa Rica  in Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008 will in no way benefit Costa Rica,the world is watching and the actions of this so called artist has brought much negative assumptions as to the humanity of the people of Costa Rica and the fact that the many witnesses of this animals suffering did nothing and that the organizers of this event allowed this rather than taking action to see that Guillermo Vargas be criminally charged with animal abuse is sending the world a message that Costa Rica consists of a cruel,uncivilized society that has no regard for life but enjoys viewing and contributing to the loss of life.
Each and every person who knew of and witnessed the suffering of this innocent dog is equally as guilty of causing it's uncalled for death.
And to let this crime go unpunished and instead be awarded by Guillermo Vargas representing Costa Rica in Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008 is unacceptable and shameful not only to Costa Rica but to all participants of this event.
I urge you,do not condone the heinous actions of Guillermo Vargas by allowing him to participation in Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008.He should be jailed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of law for this animals death,not representing Costa Rica as an artist for he is not an artist and to refer to him as such is an insult to all true artists.

This is the letter I have responded with to the two email addresses at the end of this page.  I will remain steadfast and deep in my conviction on this subject as I find it just as I said in my letter, the next step for them is serial murderer.  The letter I sent:
  You may not be able to read this as I do not know what language you speak.  But, if you are intersted, you will find someone to translate this for you.   You are ONE step away from been a mass serial murderer.  You allow someone to display a living creature as art and not give the nourishment it requires to even live in the basic of elements, then YOU are an accomplice.  YOU are the murderer.  It is a known fact that ALL serial killers have and do kill and torture animals prior to killing human beings.  I am here to take my stand and tell you that your next step is killing and torturing a human being, if you haven't already done so. Be ashamed, be very ashamed of what you and your nation stand for.  We are a nation of over 3 billion strong.  We are a website of over 7 million strong and this will not continue in your country if we have any thing to say about it.  We will continue to sign, talk and take to our nations administrators the acts that your country allow on innocent animals, let alone an innocent child or other human being.

This is a horrific act of animal cruelty. This madman is nothing more than an animal abuser. And the citizens of Costa Rica who stood by and did nothing ought to be ashamed of themselves. This cruel act needs to be dealt with.

this has nothing to do with art! this is animal cruelty and should be punised! and everyone who went to the exposition too. and the people who ellected this madman to represent their county as well. i say we al put then on a rope in a corner and dont feed them untill they are dead and call it art!
if senceless death and suffering were art, hitler would be the greatest artist of all!

One can not believe that any one could allow such an inhumane act. It is disgraceful!!! I feel that the "so call artist" should be tied up as he did with that poor animal and be left to die in the same way.

I don't think the artist deserves to be chained up and starved to death. How is that any better than what he's done? It's disgusting, and no living being ever deserves this (and especially not that poor, poor dog).

It's so incredibly upsetting that anyone would do something like this, and it only adds to the sadness that people would like to do this same thing to another human being, no matter how vile (and I'd like to say that it is a uniquely hectic flavour of vile) this 'art' of his is.

Where can we find this artist so that we can chain him up, starve him and then call it 'Revenge of Art'? Costa Rica, i think that tourism to your country should be sanctioned and that if you allow such putrid behaviour that you should fall off the world map!
