I am dismayed

Greetings and Yule Blessings to all!

With that said, I thought I would vent something that I find very disappointing by some Care2 members.

On a regular basis, I pop into the People Main page to give green stars to new members as a form of appreciation for a start to make a difference, and to encourage them and let them know some of us are watching.

Many times, as I view these members... I notice that others do the same as I do, however, they seem to use this method as a way to connect with women.... I am speaking of the male members.... they will pass out green stars to the ladies and skip the men.... I do not think that this is a truly proper way of using green stars.... to try and hit on women..... if you are sincere in what you believe, profess to believe, then your awarding of green stars should be passed out on an equal basis... You want to hit on women... do it in the singles area or in another area of the internet..... do not use Care2 to feed your selfish desires..... Care2 is about caring for all.... equally.

thanks Dale, that might be true for some members, but if you look at the membership of Care2, the majority of memebers are Women, and they are more active then men, it seems that you are picking on my group, as i have a high membership of women, but as I said they are the most active on care2.

Philip, I am not attacking any group... I am simply stating what I have observed and sharing what has been shared with me by these new members who I have been in contact with.... Some have immediately left Care2 due to what I state. They come here expecting more than what is happening.... When we ask people to become members, they should not be "hit" on immediately upon putting up a profile, nor feel intimidated. I plan on pursuing this a tad futher, and have documentation from these members... I do not ever use my share... but this is an exception... I do not mean to offend you or anyone... and have no intent to do so.... I am simply stating what I feel and have that right, I do believe as a member, and a charter member at that. I have had several people contact me on this issue... and have asked my advice. I have sent them to Care2 support and will continue to do so.

Gentle D, Philip could have been referring to me, since I started a discussion in Philip's Click to Donate group. I am in total agreement with the idea that using Care2 as a dating meat market is a waste of time. I have denounced that myself and been slammed for it by one of the men whose "friends" list consisted entirely of women. Anyone I find like that, I avoid like the plague.
