I contacted the ACLU over 2 years ago regarding my brother being put into a cell with someone who had AIDS and then he got raped and got AIDS himself he died and I wrote numerous letters saying that something needed to be done, I called and no one would talk to me I guess my brother wasn't important enough!

You know there is someone who will listen, it just takes total persistance with issues of great magnitude such as your brothers situation R.I.P.! I wouldn't STOP~don't give up, they need to take responsibility for the terrible incident. When we as citizens do wrong they make us take responsibility so you should indeed fight the system in order for them to take ownership in your brothers death.

The ACLU picks its own agendas.I would be (especially in an election year) contacting Senators, Congressmen, etc. I am so sorry for your loss.We need to make our youngsters aware of the dangers that lurk when incarcerated so that perhaps they will avoid getting in trouble, as they are so vulnerable to really bad people who lack decency and respect for others.
