This site is graphic, but NO ONE can afford to not look at the images on the screen. They are real. And for many of us, right around the corner! Visit "Mean Streets" and "Rescues" believe me they will stick with you.  Progress is slow, but a landmark law has just been passed, named for the poster dog and first rescue by Compassion for Camden, Inc. Read the whole site, donate if you can, adopt if you are in the area, anything you can, but PLEASE don't ignore this message!!

Being a NJ native, I can understand why Camden was named the "worst city..." and there are some good animal-people there who will eventually make a difference.

Alison, I read through the site and found a link to re: emailing local officials encouraging them to support the organization. I sent an email. Have you posted this on the NJ activist group?

I remember reading this in the news!! I only live a hop, skip and a jump from Camden. I have never gone into Camden and I never will!!
