50 g dried seaweed (black, hair-like, usually Chinese)
200 g marinaded bell peppers/ paprikas
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
salt pepper nutmeg
cooking oil

Soak the seaweed for at least one day (the more you soak it - the softer it becomes, if you soak it too little you'll have to cook it, but then some of the vitamins and minerals will escape, as will some of the taste of the sea - which is actually a good idea if you're cooking for kids), drain and rinse, chop it up (i do this with kitchen scissors). Chop the garlic and onion, heat oil in a pan, add the garlic, then add the onion, fry until golden. Add drained marinaded peppers (if they were marinaded in oil, you can add some of the oil). Add the seaweed, salt and spices, stir very well. Cover and leave over low heat for a half-hour to simmer (come back to stir sometimes, check there's enough oil/liquid to avoid burning). Can be consumed as a cold salad or a warm side-dish. Some people like to add some vinegar if the marinade of the peppers isn't strong.
