"I had never seen trees such as this - mighty and majestic, of a deep, rich green, slightly tinged with gold. They towered, they soared. They were enormous pines, oaks, maples and many others which I could not distinguish. Through them crept a breeze of fantastic and lovely fragrance..." Nine Princes in Amber Roger Zelazny
My name is Linda and I'm from Sweden. I am a student of Social Anthropology at the University of Upsala and I'm currently working on my bachelor's degree - I'm also very interested in environmental issues.
What I am looking at in my paper is why people choose to join the envirnonmental movement and Greenpeace in particular. I think it is very important for the environmental movement to be able to include a lot of different people (Since it would be great if everyone started taking care of the amazing world we live in) and I hope that my research can help with this in some small degree :0)
Below are a few questions that I would like to ask anyone who is involved in the environmental movement in real life or on the web:
****
Why did You choose to become involved in environmental questions? (here on the net and/or in real life) Are you involved in an organisation, if so why and which one did you choose? How does the fact that you care about the environment change your life? What sort of things do you do?
(Further questions, if you have the time)
Why are the questions concerning the environment important to you? And which questions do you find the most important?
Can you tell me a little about yourself? (You can choose whatever you like to share, but occupation, age, some interests, etc all works fine :0)
Would you mind if I contacted you to ask anything further?
****
I will use the answers as part of my paper, but of course it will be anonymously. Please do feel free to drop me an e-mail.
