In the upcoming presidential election,John Edwards is my first choice. If he is not viable, it would be Hillary Clinton.

Unfortunately Gravel & Kucinich, in the current climate, are not realistically electable candidates, and when it comes to politics, I am definitely a realist first...yes, I will vote for the candidate whose message appeals to me, but s/he MUST BE ELECTABLE.

I had settled on Edwards before I found this quiz, and notice that I score lower with Hillary than with Barack, but I would choose Hillary over Barack any day.
Feel free, American or not, to take this quiz and share your results and your own personal inclination on who you support or would support with me and others.

Obviously, we're not going to get our mirror-image in office, huh? :) If only the people voting in the primaries were MORE influenced by a poll like THIS instead of the darn media ones that are then, very much flaunted and talked about on-air!

Another thing I've noticed in taking several of these polls now is that Clinton & Obama always comes up with the same percentages for me. Are they really twins after all? Tied up in the same media-package to cater to the voters? It's sad, because, they truly are nothing alike.

I'll start a "discussion link" where you can just post your results. Maybe we can gather data on all our Care2 friends!

Thanks, Cate!

Kathy

Here are my results after taking the poll. I have to tell you they are quite close to what I thought I already knew. Thanks Kathy andCate for putting this up and sharing it. I will passiton to my circleof friends and hope we get a lotof people who are interested in taking the poll and sharig the results they get. I know a lot ofpeople dont like to talk politics and especially share what their political views are, but maybe this will be different.Oh, and I certainly agree that when it comes to polls like this the results are not usually shown to reflect what the true public reveals.

We must think alike, Cate - got Kucinich first and Gravel second but I'd already decided on John Edwards. I like your ideas for Secretary of State and Supreme Court!

. . And now for something really DIFFERENT !
Can there be a correct answer to an incorrect question ?
.
01. How do you feel about civil liberties in post-9/11 America? They've been infringed upon since 9/11 and must be strengthened. The response to 9/11 was appropriate, or did not go far enough. To fight terrorism, some intrusion upon civil liberties is necessary. We need a careful balance between the protection of civil liberties and the ability to combat terrorism. ....
....A: Since 1948, we have murdered MILLIONS of innocent people in the Middle East. WHO are the ''Terrorists'' of the world ? WHO are the ''Insergants'' in the world ?
.
02. What is your opinion on same-sex marriage? Same-sex marriage should be allowed. Civil unions should be allowed, but not marriage. Gays should have some partner rights, but neither marriage nor civil unions. There should be no marriage, no civil unions and no partnerships of any sort. ....
....A: FATHERS are TRUTH, Mothers are TRUTH. Babies are TRUTH. FAMILIES are TRUTH. Marriage is a LIE.
The Roman Empire invented ''Marriage'' to make soldiers fear loosing the ONE Family that they were PERMITTED to OWN.
Isolating Populations from Reality by LYING, and making the citizens live in poverty, deprivation and fear of loss, is how the OWNERS of the ''subjects'' (slaves ) direct the OBEDIENT LABOR that feeds the kings and priests .
.
03. How do you feel about free trade? Free trade is both necessary and good for the nation. Too much free trade hurts American workers, so we should proceed with caution. Free trade agreements are highly unfair to both American and foreign workers. We should roll back free trade. ....
....A: The OWNERS SET the prices , SET the wages, and SET Inflation to OBTAIN the LABOR that BUILDS the EMPIRE that THEY OWN.
There are no ''Market Forces''. The OWNERS ( 1% ) print money to obtain the HUMAN WEALTH that THEY OWN.
.
04. How do you feel about the Iraq War? It was a huge mistake, and troops should be withdrawn ASAP. We need a phased and orderly withdrawal to end the war and free up troops for other uses. We made a commitment to Iraq and must keep our troops there until our goals are achieved. ....
....A: The OWNERS of America are LYING, INVADING, MURDERING BURGLARS. ( See : Roman Empire )
.
05. What are your views on the death penalty? It should be an option available for many serious crimes. It should be an option only in a narrow set of cases. It should be very rare, but not outlawed. It should be outlawed. ....
....A: The VICTIMS of our pledging, allegiancing and indoctrinating, who REBEL against their slavery, are removed from our civilization in many ways.
.
06. How do you feel about marijuana legalization? It should be legalized and regulated similar to alcohol. Criminal penalties should be reduced and/or medical marijuana should be explored, but no full legalization. It should remain illegal in all forms, period. ....
....A: In 1980, my father and I, at meeting of republican ''leaders'' stood by the donut table sipping coffee, discussing why houses and cars should be CONFISCATED if ''Weed'' is found.
To make The Disobedient Democrats live in fear and isolation.
United People will reinforce each other's thoughts and develop the power that the rulers of America FEAR.
Isolating Populations from Reality by LYING, and making the citizens live in poverty, deprivation and fear of loss, is how the OWNERS of the ''subjects'' (slaves ) direct the OBEDIENT LABOR that feeds the kings and priests .
( See: Question #2 : The Roman Empire invented ''Marriage'' to make soldiers fear loosing the ONE Family that they were permitted to OWN. )
.
07. Where do you stand on abortion? Uphold Roe v. Wade and preserve the right to choose. Overturn Roe v. Wade and allow the states to pass abortion bans. ....
....A: You can not murder your arm or your leg. A HUMAN is a MILLION YEARS of accumulate Human THOUGHT. We invented laws against killing HUMANS. NOT MEAT. ONLY the MOTHER's HUMAN MIND is Qualified to decide the future of her HUMAN family.

.
08. Where do you stand on the balance of business vs. workers? Pro-business. What's good for business is good for America, period. Pro-workers and unions. Corporations are too powerful as it is. Middle ground. Some regulations are necessary, but corporations need flexibility to compete.
....A: For the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE. These feuding nations and feuding religions are DEAD INVENTIONS made of MERE WORDS. LIFE on earth is NOT.
.
09. What is your view on the national budget? A balanced budget is a top priority. Make sure tax revenue matches spending. A balanced budget is a top priority. Make deep cuts in spending to prevent deficits. A balanced budget is not a top priority right now. ....
....A: Our time, labor, money, life and children were brought into the world by us to MURDER LIFE and DESTROY the Earth.
If Americans could KEEP the WEALTH that THEY CREATE and use it to SAVE LIFE, then there would be NO POVERTY and NO MISERY.
.
10. Where do you stand on embryonic stem cell research? Answer as if alternatives (adult stem cells) do not pan out. This research should have no support from the federal government beyond what Bush has provided. The federal government should support this research.
....A: What form of SUCCESSFUL Life refuses to MOVE it's MEAT ?
Every Living Thing that has EVER EXISTED has used organic matter to FEED the FUTURE of LIFE.
Are our Governments Laboratories only allowed get RICH by selling POISONS and FAKE anti-dotes.
Is seeking CURES forbidden in an overpopulated world ?
.
11. Should Social Security be privatized? Yes, at least partly. No, keep the current system and strengthen it. No, instead explore other types of reforms, such as increasing retirement age or reducing payments for those who do not need it. ....
....A: I did NOT give MY MONEY to MY GOVERNMENT so they could FUNNEL it to the LYING DEREGULATED MILITARY CONTRACTORS who already OWN my free press and OWN my political parties.
.
12. How should we address immigrants who entered the country illegally? They should have a path to citizenship if they meet certain requirements. They should be sent back to their home country, period. ....
....A: The OWNERS of America have used the money they stole from us to build slave plantations overseas. They no longer need Mexican Slaves in America... They no longer need American Slaves in America and that is why they are now kill you.
.
13. How do you feel about issues relating to energy and the environment? We need major funding for renewable energy and must regulate polluters. We need to pursue viable technology such as nuclear energy, while asking industry to make incremental improvements on pollution. Let the market decide on pollution. Also, there is plenty of oil, and we should be drilling for it. ....
....A: 50% of America's GNP is used by the PENTAGON . Energy converted to DEATH. Our MILITARY ECONOMY need to cut down as must as we do.
.
14. What is your view on the minimum wage? The concept of a minimum wage should be eliminated. We should keep the minimum wage, but it should not be raised, or it should only be raised slightly. We should keep the minimum wage and raise it regularly to keep pace with the cost of living. ....
....A: If the WORKERS we allowed to KEEP the TRILLIONS of DOLLARS they produce each year then Every Man, Woman, Child, and House Plant in America would be a Millionaire.
.
15. What should be done about health care? We need a national health insurance system that makes sure everyone is covered. Keep the current system, but cut regulation and give health insurers more control. No significant changes are needed at this time. ....
....A: When a TEN CENT PILL made in our factory in Puerto Rico is sold here 28 .00 EACH , then WHO can AFFORD to pay THAT BLACKMAIL.
Does it MATTER if that BLACKMAIL is paid by each person, by an Insurance Company or by the IRS ? It is still OUR MONEY being STOLEN.
.
16. Where do you stand on gun control? States and municipalities should be able to restrict gun ownership. Gun ownership is a protected right that must not be infringed upon.
....A: As Long as we promise children ''American dreams'' that don't exist, and as long as we teach KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN to use ZAP-POOF Ninja Power Rannger Brute Force to get what they want, every American must defend themselves from their own children.
.
17. What is America's role in an overseas crisis such as the genocide in Darfur? We must respond vigorously, with diplomacy and troops on the ground to end the crisis. We must address the issue diplomatically while encouraging the UN and NATO to send troops, with minimal US military support. We must use diplomacy only and try to cut off the money supply to the "bad guys". The US has no major role to play.
....A: We funded their MILITARY and ARMED their REBEL Groups and SHOWED them that the way to STEAL the OIL is by using LIES and MURDER.
The world is learning to replace LIFE'S Creation of Life's Future, with the Destruction of the future of Life.

I went ahead and took this little "poll" but with an informed skepticism. Sorry everyone--there is too much time between now and the time I actually cast my ballot for events to impact my decision. And, lol, while I am a political activist with a degree in PoliSci I speak out on issues and keep three things private always: 1) my finances 2) my sex life, and 3) my vote--not my politics--my vote. I know you must be terribly disappointed! LOL.

Allow me to observe this. My prediction is that should Senator Clinton win the White House the least damaging office she might award to her spouse is that of Attorney General. The most damaging appointment she could ram through Congress is to get him onto the Supreme Court where he would influence policy for many, many years. That would be the plum: Supreme Court. We shall see--she must first win the race, one way or another.

I had fun with it, and we shall see. I am leaning in one direction and it is posted at least two places via group memberships but I am a true independent and I might arrive at that voting booth and have to make my final decision on the spot.
