Blog: Sometimes people really make me sick!

I mean that they really make me sick!  Sometimes I think that humans are the most idiotic people on earth!  I have been running this program called the SWAN Project.  A program that I was and am very proud of.  However, due to one person's ignorance we have had to close down that program.

You may not have heard of the SWAN Project, but it helped women who were bigger than a size 3xl find emergency clothing.  These are women who for the most part wore a size 5xl to a 6xl.  Clothing is these sizes are very expensive and rarely found in resale stores or Goodwills.  For the most part the people who needed my help were either victims of a fire, DV, or they were too poor to aford anything.

I would be get their referral through various Social Service agencies and would work through the person and various other people to help them get clothing.  Sometimes through Plus Size stores, sometimes gently used things from kindhearted people.

Good cause right?  Well, it seems that someone has made up a phoney letterhead, and turned in to their tax preparer that they donated SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars to the SWAN Project.  Well, when they ran the tax id number...it doesn't exist.  Because we never filled for tax exempt status!  So, our founder has had to hire a lawyer to defend herself.  We have had to close down our program untill we can proove that we were innocent in this scam!

What I would like to ask whomever this is...."Why would you try to destroy a program that only helped other people?"  But I will never get this chance.  It is really beyond me how someone can do this to people who only want to help others!

Some people are so nasty and horrible. I don't know how they would even THINK of such a terrible thing. If they can't help others can't they let others do it in peace? Don't let them spoil things for you and keep up the good work.

Well you know what's so cool? What goes around comes back fast, hard and twice the speed as they gave out. One has to do the best they can with what's give us. The man will take care of the rest.
