Alert: The Kyoto Protocol does not have the ability to solve Global Warming

Focus:Sustainable Development
Action Request:Think About
Location:Australia

The Kyoto Protocol does not have the ability to solve Global Warming In it's present format the Kyoto Protocol does not have the ability to solve global warming. Unless the Kyoto Protocol adopts the following goals or guidelines then you can not view it as a serious attempt to address the problems of Global Warming. If you are serious about solving or reversing the effects of Global Warming . Then you must adopt the following goals or guidelines a) adopt a global One Child Per Woman policy The reason for this policy is that the world's population has grown to above 6,500,000,000 and it is currently growing at exponential rate in excess of 100,000,000 children per year. According to United Nations statistics each human being requires about two hectares of clear land to grow food, clothing and shelter. So the easy calculation is as following, there are an extra 100,000,000 members of humanity each year that each require two hectares of cleared land to maintain life. So through population grow human beings are force to clear over two hundred million hectares of land each year. This land typically comes from forest areas, which decreases the earth's eco-system's ability to absorb greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere. Which in-turn drives the levels of Global Warming gases present in the atmosphere to even high levels of concentrations. The every act of giving birth to two or more children in this century is an act of environmental destruction. The Kyoto Protocol must adopt the goal of achieving a sustainable world population of three billion souls by the end of this century. b) plant 17 native trees per person per year at an estimated global cost of $260,000,000,000 per year The only proven method to lowering carbon dioxide concentrations within the atmosphere is by planting trees. Carbon dioxides concentrations have been increasing at an alarming rate for well over one hundred years. So it will take a tree planting program of this magnitude for a period of at least one hundred years to reverse the global warming trends. c) commit to a 120 year program to phase out fossil fuels and to phase in a 100% renewable hydrogen economy. The main problem with this goal is the cost- the estimate global cost per year is $55,000,000,000,000. The reason for this high cost is that you have to replace an energy system that has taken Mother Nature one hundred million years to create. You have to build a large storage system to storage the energy, just the earth has done. You have to convert solar and wind energy into a storable and useable energy medium. Mother Nature has spend the last one hundred million years in convert sunlight into a useable energy form(fossil fuels). The renewable hydrogen economy will have to convert solar energy(sunlight & wind) into a useable energy form(hydrogen gas). The renewable hydrogen economy will have to create the energy use in a year, within that year. Were as Mother Nature has take one million years to create the fossil fuels the we(earthlings) use in one year. I known this sounds impossible to create all the energy we use each day just from sunlight. Sunlight delivers about 6 kilowatts of energy per square metre to the earth's surface. It is estimate that to power the world's energy needs through a renewable hydrogen economy. Earthling's would have to capture & harness only 15% of all the energy that the sun delivers to the earth each day. The Kyoto Protocol is a good place to start, After all global warming is a global problem which will not be solve without global action. But in it's present format it doesn't even come close to taking the first step in the battle to solve global warming Please help me get this news story on to the front page click on the below link and note it http://www.care2.com/news/member/605785583/60904

Hi. I just joined and thanks for inviting me. First things first. The government that we have now has got to go. All the money that we need to effectively introduce alternative substances into our every day reality goes towards war. I have studied Hemp, and different solutions for home building, solar, etc. You are right on about the population. 40 years ago my college term was titled No territory, no existence. I still have it and refer to it occasionally. We learn alot from the animals don't we. Maybe there is a way you can organize your group (this would be a big job) into research on various things and we could dig up a chatroom. This sounds like a really great group. Whatcha think? Hugs River
