Teri - I live in Akron and am trying tofind homes of shelters for at least 40 cats that were abandoned in a forclosed home in Lakemore, Ohio. I was tipped off that there were cats in the house and that they were actually cannibalizing each other. My friend and I went there to take pictures through the window. To make a long story short, the owner came and went in with some boxes, the police were called and we were allowed into the house to videotape. There were cats crawling over each other, out of dressers, from behind dressers. There was feces on the walls, the carpet and all surfaces. One cat box was overlowing. The Humane Society had known about it for 3 weeks and took 12 cats. They told my friend that the rest should be euthanized because they didn't have room. We have people disinfecting the house today (they had to use a snow shovel to gather the waste). Surprisingly, the cats look healthy. Please let me know if you can help.
