A week ago I declared my desire to give up the consumption of living things and become a vegetarian. I know that it's something that isn't as easy to actually follow through with as it is to talk about.... and used several tips from the PETA website to help me get through week 1... I chose not to go "cold turkey"... mostly because I don't want to jump into a fad... and rather make a full circle lifestyle change. The majority of my days were vegetarian days.... and a couple I had a small amount of meat. But I plan on completely fading out of that trend in the next couple weeks. I just thought all at one time, was #1 wasteful to what I already have in my fridge, and #2.... I had already done all of my meal planning for my husband and kids and hope that my next shopping trip will be full of fun new recipes that I can eat freely and that my husband, who is NOT ever going to give up meat (he says) can eat the "way" he wants.

So here's to this next week.... my new recipes... healthier choices and to hoping my husband doesn't give me too much crap!
