Blog: 3 Simple Green Travel ideas...Stop!

Last day while writing the: "List of top ecotourism destinations for a green adventure holiday" i've found 3 destination that catched my attention.

So I did a little search in Google and found the info I'm sharing in this post.

Enjoy!

A coastal pearl on the Arctic Circle
Sisimiut lies just north of the Arctic Circle. It is the northernmost town in Greenland and at the same time the southernmost town in Greenland. Here it's possible to drive on a dogsled in winter and spring.

In Sisimiut’s old quarter you can still see buildings from the first 100 years of the colonial period.

At the foot of Sisimiut’s landmark, the 784-meters (2,572 feet) high mountain, “Kællingehætten” (old woman’s cowl), there are fine opportunities for alpine skiing in winter and spring and the town is also a prime place to go dogsledding.

In summer you can walk to the top of “Kællingehætten” and view the town, the sea, the mountains and the abandoned settlement of Assaqutaq.

The ice-free sea around Sisimiut and some of Greenland’s deepest fjords also attract visitors wishing to sail in waters that are home to many whales and seals. Read more...

Redwood National Park born on 02 October 1968 and expanded on 27 March 1978.

Redwood National and State Parks protect old growth coast redwoods, some of the world's tallest trees. Not well-known are the prairies and oak woodlands and the coastal and marine ecosystems.

Three California state parks and the National Park Service unit represent a cooperative management effort of the National Park Service and the California Department of Parks and Recreation.

Together these parks are a World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve protecting resources cherished by citizens of many nations. Read more....

La Gran Sabana (The great plain) is found inside Venezuela's biggest national park: Canaima, in the Bolivar state south. It is a unique place with views that you will not see anywhere else in the world.

This national park has two different parts: To the East you will find the Gran Sabana (described in this page). To the West you will find the Angel falls and Canaima lagoon. There is a link at the end of this page. Read more...

If You have other destination suggestions, please fell free to post it in the comments.
