Bad Hair Day? The past couple of weeks have not been easy for me. The construction continues, but I am beginning to see the rhyme and reason for each step taken. Of course, now that new floors are down in the bathroom and laundry room, I see the next step in a can or two of paint. Also, the washing machine has decided it likes the new floor and is hopping into the freezer and dryer. Another call to appliance services is in to follow. Last week, I decided to pamper myself just a little as the roots were growing out in my hair. This is an easy fix as I have colored, tinted, striped and otherwise experimented with just about every brand of hair color on the market.I am not 100% sure that I read the little tube wrong or they simply made a mistake and put two tubes of “Pre-Conditioner” in the box. Let’s just assume I misread the tube and pre-conditioned with the color. When I read to mix the white stuff with the color, all that was left was pre-condition and the “Rinse Conditioner”. Well, to take this experiment further, I just added it all together and left it on for thirty plus minutes or so. After the contractors left for the day, I once again went down into the basement and took my shower under the water sprinkler Jerry has tied to the beam. I rinsed it all out, put on the “After Rinsing Conditioner” and proceeded to wash while shivering.Dang, that basement is cold. The soap was awful and harsh. I later learned from Jerry that the soap is Lava. No wonder I was scratched up. It didn’t smell good either! The next morning, my hair was standing out like I had stuck my finger in an electrical outlet. I began brushing and brushing to no avail. I finally went back down to the basement and put more conditioner on. After the crew left again, Jerry asked me to please comb my hair. He has NO idea what I was trying to fix, but I did run into the bedroom to find some shampoo. For some reason, there were no suds at all, so again I follow with the conditioner and am delighted that my hair is on my head and soft. Later, I looked at the bottle and realized I had washed my hair with Lavender Lotion. As I write my thoughts here, just wanted to let you know that I still have hair, but won’t tell you the color. I’m going back to Wal-Mart and check out their hair color inventory again. This does fall into the “Bad Hair Day” category, doesn’t it?
