START A PETITION 27,000,000 members: the world's largest community for good
Jun 4, 2008

I heard a couple of brief stories yesterday on NPR that I had mixed feelings about. They reported that GM was closing four more plants in the U.S. These are truck and SUV plants.

I think it goes without saying, no one wants to see people loosing there jobs. On the flip-side however, it's a good sign that this is the result of a decreased demand for the larger gas hogs and an increased demand for the smaller more environmentally friendly cars.

Both articles hinted that the Hummer may be nearing it's final days. It's about time!
