so much promise in a young life,
so much loss when that hope dies,
so much bitterness then takes deep deadly root,
until only rage and anger are the only reply;
for hurts beat into the heart,
for losses,
never to be reclaimed,
is in any wonder
that violence is often the fruit,
when so much promise dies?
