Tribute: Three Years on. The London Bombings

Name:Helen Katherine Jones
Type:Memorial (for the deceased)
To Honor:Individual(s)
Location:London, United Kingdom

Today marks the third anniversary of losing my step-daughter Helen who died along with 51 other wonderful innocent people in the London Bombings.

This year as in every year my wishes for this day are for greater understanding between the peoples of this troubled globe, for greater tolerance and the end of the violence of hatred.

I hear with great sadness in my heart of the blame that people associate towards Muslims worldwide for the events of 9/11 and 7/7. It is not Muslims that are to blame but the hatred that belongs to no true religion of any hue that is to blame.

To warmongers I say lay down your arms and stretch out your hands in friendship and learn to love your fellow man...he is wonderful and your brother.

Today I light a candle in my heart and invite all other lovers of peace to do the same.

With respect and love. David Gould
