Well, this has been a rather bad week for Don. He has not felt good at all. Although Friday he was doing a little better.
His arm is looking a lot better from where he fell. It will take some time to heal, but is coming along nicely. His pain level seems to be increasing. We are keeping it under control with pain medications, but it is getting more severe. He is very wobbly now just about all the time, and uses a cane at all times. His knees seem to just buckle from right out under him at times.
His spirits are a little better, well actually, a lot better today. He has been kind of down and thinking that things are getting worse. Without any tests, we don't know for sure, but that's the only way they can go with the cancer growing and spreading even with the last chemo.
Beulah seems to pick us up better than anything. You just look at her and your heart melts and she wags that tail or smiles, she does smile, and that's it. Your a goner. HA HA. She is the best therapy we could ask for.
Me...I'm doing okay. I went to scrapbooking and made a Christmas gift bag out of a brown paper lunch bag. That was interesting. HA HA. I came home and scrapped a few pages and they came out really good. I'll have to upload them sometime soon. I am far from good. I am just getting into it, and it is fun. Between that and my postcards, I'm doing good.
I am so blessed that even though I am not on here much, you all have not forgotten me, as I have not forgotten you. Don gets little pick me up mail from some of you, Jean will send a postcard now and then, Rebecca recently sent me a card, and Maryke called. Now..............that's what I call a great bunch of gals. I am blessed to have you all in my life. Even the ones I didn't mention. There are many. Mary P sends me funny jokes to my private e-mail, Shirl does the same, and then there's Carolyn who keeps my mailbox full. HA HA.. There are so many of you that I want to let everyone know how special my Care2 friends really are. You understand that I can't be here often, and yet you never let me down.
Anyway, it is almost 12:30 on Saturday already and I think I might go in and read for a while. I don't seem to sleep much, especially if Don is having a bad night.
Hey...we are doing good under a difficult journey. We still find all kinds of things to laugh about and joke about, and live while we can.
Have a wonderful weekend, and if the spelling is incorrect, sorry..... I'm too lazy to check it. HAHA
