Al Gore took a big risk when he called on America to set of goal of obtaining 100% of our electricity from cheap, clean sources within 10 years.
As many of Mr. Gore's detractors point out his plan will not be cheap. But, think about it, neither is a war being fought for oil. Just imagine where we'd all be, if one tenth of the money being spent of the Iraq war was being invested in truly making the US energy independent.
I just signed a petition to support Al Gore's ambitious challenge. Together, we can urge Obama, McCain, and Congress to get on board.
