THE MIDDLE EAST reminds me of my childhood home overlooking Winfrey Bottom.  There was forever a conflict going on down there, and woe unto anyone who tried to intervene.  Even the police usually arrived after the battle was over.  Here’s the headline that got me thinking about those days:
