Hi Moon Seeker,

Can you tell me a bit more of your rescue? I live in NJ and there are a few rescues & sanctuaries here.

I have tiels and keets, total 5. I love them very much and cannot part. However, I also feel that profitting off unweaned or baby parrots is despicable. There have to be laws to prevent this. There are activists in the NY metropolitan area trying to bring public awareness to this severely escalating problem. The number of parrots abandoned or abused has increased beyond the limit of the sanctuaries.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on this subject.

Ash - Hello!

This is not mine - but of a friend of a close friend. My friend, Sherril, has an adopted Parrot, and knows of Dee's parrot rescue and asked me to pass the information along.

The Eastern Washington Parrot Rescue, is a place for abandoned parrots and other birds, see here: http://www.ewpr.net/ .

Any questions about their Rescue can be done from their site.
